Role purpose

At Vicinity, we believe in creating places where everyone feels they belong. As our new Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping a culture where all team members feel respected, valued, and empowered to thrive.

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity - a chance to shape the future of inclusion and belonging across our organisation.

You’ll lead meaningful change, influence senior stakeholders, and embed inclusive practices that make a real impact. Working closely with our People team, Employee Advocacy Groups, and leaders across the business, you’ll bring our Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging strategy to life - turning vision into action and values into everyday experience.

Key Responsibilities
What you'll be doing

  • Lead the development and delivery of our FY26–28 DIB Strategy

  • Undertake a comprehensive review of the existing strategy, including stakeholder workshops, industry benchmarking, and identification of critical focus areas.

  • Lead the execution of DIB initiatives aligned with business priorities and cultural aspirations.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and Employee Advocacy Groups to co-design impactful initiatives that reflect the voices of our people

  • Build inclusive capability through training, events, and programs that foster psychological safety and belonging.

  • Use data and insights to identify systemic barriers and track progress on our DIB goals.

  • Represent Vicinity in external forums and networks, sharing our journey and learning from others.

  • Draft inputs for board and compliance reporting (e.g. WGEA, Champions of Change) and track progress of DIB initiatives.


Capability and Experience

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in a Diversity and Inclusion focused role

  • Proven experience developing and delivering a DIB strategy refresh

  • A deep understanding of intersectionality, inclusive leadership, and DIB compliance frameworks

  • Strong understanding of DIB compliance and reporting requirements, including WGEA and other regulatory frameworks.

  • Experience designing and delivering inclusive programs and training.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

  • A passion for creating equitable systems and a workplace where everyone can thrive.
