About your role                                                                                                                             

Joining a cohort of like-minded university students, you will work on real business problems and get unprecedented access to subject matter experts and senior leaders to mentor and guide your work. 

 

The Vacation Student Program runs for 8 weeks from 1 December 2025 to 23 January 2025 and is designed to provide a wide range of learning opportunities.

 

The vacation student program will offer you unique opportunities to:

  • Develop ‘on the job’ skills while putting your studies into practice
  • Experience a work environment where safety is always the number one priority
  • Grow personally and professionally in a dynamic, inclusive and supportive culture
  • Collaborate and build lasting relationships with colleagues and other vacation students
  • Work on relevant projects that will make a direct impact to our business
  • Present the results of your project to our leadership team

 

Please note that successful applicants will need to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

 

What you will bring

We are looking for students wanting to gain site experience in a dynamic work environment. To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Completed at least one year’s study towards a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Initiative and desire to continuously improve
  • Willingness to face and find creative ways to overcome new challenges
  • Strong academic record
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment

Gladstone is a coastal town in central Queensland with the region home to a population of approximately 64,000. The Gladstone region enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities and is the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
