Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to join our team at Beef Northwest. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the intersection of information technology and agriculture. As an IT Intern, you will work closely with our IT department to support and enhance the technology infrastructure on our feedlot.   


Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware and Software Support: Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software systems used on the feedlot.
  • Network Management: Assist in managing and maintaining the local network, ensuring connectivity and security for all devices. 
  • Data Management: Help collect, organize, and manage data related to feedlot operations. This may include data entry, data analysis, and report generation. 
  • IT Helpdesk Support: Provide support to feedlot staff by assisting with IT-related issues and inquiries. 
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing IT equipment inventory, including tracking, ordering, and maintaining equipment and supplies. 
  • Cybersecurity: Learn and implement best practices for IT security to protect the feedlot's digital assets. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide technical solutions.

Requirements


  • Currently enrolled in a relevant IT or computer science program. 
  • 2.5 GPA or higher.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
