Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift, 12 hour, 7:00PM-7:00AM EOWEO

Job Summary:

The Cast House Supervisor oversees casting, homogenizing and billet cutting operations.  This position reports to the Extrusion Manager.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to their specific area of responsibility.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of equipment systems for proper troubleshooting of problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Makes decisions regarding quality, productivity, maintenance, and safety of all department operations.
  • Develops action plans when required to correct problems.
  • Tains employees in safety, quality, equipment and production requirements.
  • Reports damaged or unsafe equipment and makes decisions about continuation of operations for safety or damage reasons. Writes maintenance work orders.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and places orders as needed.
  • Operates Spectrograph, calculates alloy mix of a charge, and calculate alloy additions.
  • Lead accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions.
