Our Commercial Lines Filings Management Group is seeking a Commercial Rate Specialist. In this role, you will support the development and submission of state rate filings, manage product change communications, and coordinate filing-related work to support commercial lines priorities. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.
The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $20.00 hourly. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and individual performance.
Be ready to:
- maintain rates within the state manuals to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements
- prepare and submit new and revised rate filings to Departments of Insurance (DOIs)
- interpret DOI requirements and communicate them to internal stakeholders to ensure compliance prior to submission
- respond to DOI objections and inquiries in a timely manner
- communicate filing status to impacted parties throughout the company
- communicate changes to manual rates and products, including description of updates to stakeholders
- create forms and manage requests from Cincinnati Specialty Underwriters (CSU)
- serve as the central point for receiving and processing fillable forms from multiple internal teams
- prepare rate table requests from stakeholders supporting our policy issuance systems
- collaborate in an agile environment with cross-functional teams organized by line of business

- proficiency in Microsoft® Office applications
- strong verbal and written communication skills with professional etiquette
- sound decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- highly organized with the ability to adapt to change and handle multiple priorities
- detail oriented with a proactive approach to task ownership
- demonstrates a sense of urgency while maintaining accuracy
Bring education and experience from:
- prior insurance experience (preferred)
- proficiency in Microsoft® Office (required)
- willingness to pursue further knowledge through accredited institute classes/exams
