The Wildlife Research Technician works with the Wildlife Ecologist to conduct wildlife research, monitoring and management throughout Cleveland Metroparks. This position reports to the Wildlife Ecologist at Mill Stream Run Reservation and works at reservations throughout Cleveland Metroparks. Preference is given to applicants with relevant wildlife experience and enrolled in a university wildlife degree program, or other relevant field of study.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and categorizing wildlife camera images using Timelapse or other software.
- Assisting with data analysis and interpretation in preparation of reports.
- Field data collection: independently or with staff, collaborators, and volunteers.
- Surveying and monitoring wildlife (including at night, from a vehicle, and using wildlife cameras).
- Coordination and supervision of volunteer survey crews for research and monitoring.
