SUMMARY:
Assists the Director of Instruction in planning a comprehensive golf instruction program for Members and Guests by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
In addition to the following duties and responsibilities other duties may be assigned when golf traffic is lighter.
- Teach individual and group lessons to students of all ages and ability.
- Provide students with video analysis and/or other state of the art teaching aids.
- Provide instruction on all parts of the game including: full and short swing, putting, course management, and the mental approach.
- Promote golf instructional programs through complimentary exhibitions, Ocean Reef Club Reef Press articles, and/or other venues appropriate.
- Perform club fittings and help players understand the benefits of custom-fit clubs.
- Assist and advise players on golf equipment purchases.
- Provide encouragement for players to improve their game through complimentary golf tips.
- Maintain practice facilities in top condition with cleanliness to ORC standards.
- Help our assistant professional staff become better players and instructors.
- Attend all staff meetings as required.
- Provide advice on all supplies and equipment for the range and golf instructional program.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Have an excellent understanding of the game of golf and the proven ability to help others improve their game.
- Must be skilled in the use of video analysis.
- A good understanding of the rules of golf and proper etiquette.
- Service oriented attitude and the ability to spread hospitality and goodwill among ORC Members and Guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
College education preferred, attendance at several PGA / LPGA golf instruction seminars required. At least two years of teaching experience, five years or more preferred.
LANGUAGE:
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate effectively with students.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Should be a member, in good standing, of the PGA or LPGA.
