Weiser Memorial Hospital--rated as one of Idaho's best places to work--is hiring a Materials Assistant. This position receives and delivers materials used throughout our facilities. The Materials Assistant supports the Material Manager in organizing and monitoring inventory, forecasting materials shortages, and assists in placing orders externally and fulling materials needs internally, sometimes under emergent conditions. This is a professional, full-time, benefits-eligible position. 


The expected schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and timely delivers materials to the correct departments.  
  • Restocks shelves and service areas efficiently and according to preset par levels. 
  • Performs required, accurate, data entry operations, regarding purchase order entry, items issuances, and received goods entries. 
  • Checks stocked areas for outdated items. 
  • Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties. 
  • Checks all documents for accuracy prior to processing. 
  • Maintains good interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships by providing the highest level of services, management assistance, and open communication. 
  • Is a self-starter; initiates the meeting of responsibilities without prompting.
  • Demonstrates the values of team concept on a consistent basis. 
  • Performs multiple, accurate, physical inventory checks/counts throughout the facility each fiscal year 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. 
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred. 
  • Valid driver’s license required and must be insurable per organizational guidelines.
