The Quality Assurance Manager leads the development, implementation, and oversight of our Business Management System (BMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, customer requirements, and business objectives. This role is more than compliance it’s about driving enterprise-wide quality, reducing risk, and fostering continuous improvement. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and other functions, the Quality Assurance Manager embeds quality principles into daily operations. The goal is to ensure proactive defect prevention, data-driven decision-making, and a culture of accountability that supports customer satisfaction, efficiency, and long-term business success.


Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm 

Relocation: No relocation assistance is provided. This position is 100% onsite between our Belle Chasse, LA and Bay St. Louis, MS facilities


What You'll Do:


Quality Leadership & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain a risk-based Business Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
     
  • Oversee internal audits and ensure compliance across all business functions, not just manufacturing.
     
  • Champion risk-based thinking, ensuring issues are identified and resolved before they impact customers.
     

Process Improvement

  • Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures across the business.
     
  • Analyze quality data and trends to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
     
  • Partner with teams to implement process improvements that reduce defects, waste, and inefficiencies.
     
  • Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to strengthen operational reliability.
     

Enterprise-Wide Integration

  • Ensure quality standards extend to estimating, procurement, engineering, and other non-manufacturing areas.
     
  • Define and track key quality KPIs (e.g., defect rates, escapes, cost of poor quality).
     
  • Collaborate with leaders to embed quality into strategy, performance measures, and daily operations.
     

Culture & Training

  • Build a culture of quality ownership at every level of the organization.
     
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to quality staff and cross-functional teams.
     
  • Advocate for quality initiatives with executives and operational leaders.


What You'll Need:


 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
     
  • 5+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
     
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, and CAPA processes.
     
  • Experience leading audits, root cause analysis, and process improvements.
     

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven approach.
     
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
     
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
     
  • Proficiency with quality management software and reporting tools.


 Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop QA team members, including performance management and professional growth.
     
  • Partner with production and engineering leadership to ensure quality goals are aligned and achieved.
Work Environment
  • Office-based with frequent visits to the production floor.
     
  • Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, heat, and equipment; PPE required (safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed boots).
     
  • Ability to move around the plant, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
     
  • Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours per week, including weekends or holidays, based on project needs.
