Description

We are currently seeking a Sales Assistant to join our Milwaukee Sales team! Under the direction of the area Team Leader, the Sales Assistant is directly responsible and accountable for all aspects of sales, marketing and merchandising related activities in their respective territories.


The ideal candidate in this position must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong sales and marketing skills should be accompanied by a customer service orientated focus and the commitment to company values and image. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists Sales Representatives with selling their routes.
  • Opens new accounts.
  • Conducts resets.
  • Sells WDI’s entire portfolio of alcohol and non-alcoholic products.
  • Provides team selling in Latino centric accounts.
  • Meets all merchandising standards as dictated by the Team Leader (shelf space, display activity, permanent and paper Point-of-Sale/Signage, promotion nights and special events).
  • Ensures all products in the market place adhere to communicated quality standards.
  • Follows through on all company sales contests, promotions and programs that enhance company sales.
  • Creates, develops, and maintains positive relationships in every account.
  • Ability to answer all customer questions concerning price, products, promotions, etc.
  • Honors all business and personal commitments to customers.
  • Calls in and services all customer requests the same day.
  • Solves internal and external customer problems.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One to three to years’ experience in Sales and/or Marketing, preferably in the beverage or consumer product industry.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bi-lingual in English & Spanish highly preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to maintain auto coverages on personal vehicle.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, make decisions, problem solve, and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
  • Possesses effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to be a team player, motivate and work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer and mobile devices, including an iPad.
