Founders Green Animal Hospital is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead our team while delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to companion animals.
What to Expect:
- Salary: Base salary of $140,000-$160,000 per year plus production
- Bonuses: Sign-on & Annual Medical Director Stipend

- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Founders Green Animal Hospital was opened in August of 2022 and has grown to be the top provider of veterinary care in the Central Park neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. Founders Green Animal Hospital is a modern, state-of-the-art veterinary facility. It features Digital Radiography, Digital Dental Radiography, Ultrasound, and partnerships with mobile Surgeons, Radiologists and Internal Medicine Specialists. We also work closely with our sister hospitals, 5280 Veterinary Care and Indian Tree Animal Hospital.
Primary Medical Director Responsibilities:
Leading Medical Care
- Establish medical standards for the practice, including protocols for wellness care, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, pain management, dental care, and recordkeeping.
- Lead the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality patient and client care.
- Oversee accurate and timely medical records and charge capture.
- Identify and implement new clinical services in collaboration with leadership.
- Ensure excellent client service and communication.
Leading Staff and Practice
- Assist in hiring and onboarding veterinarians and technicians.
- Support training, continuing education, and mentorship.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and effective team management.
- Lead and participate in team meetings and practice initiatives.
- Supervision & Coaching: Mentor and evaluate associate veterinarians, conduct regular case reviews and foster professional development.
- Promote a collaborative and innovative culture.
Financial Oversight
- Drive revenue growth and manage expenses.
- Help develop annual plans and budgets.
- Monitor financial performance and support marketing efforts.
- Encourage community involvement and patient growth.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Valid Veterinary License in the state of Colorado
- Strong medical, communication, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage people, delegate tasks, and drive results
