Reports to: Batch Plant Supervisor

Position Summary: Ensure all products meet or exceed PCI specifications and customer quality expectations

Responsibilities and Areas of Accountability: 

  • Operate batch plant to produce concrete in accordance with PCI standards and job requirements.
  • Identify and potentially correct maintenance issues before downtime occurs. 
  • Identify, understand, and report safety hazards and unsafe actions immediately.
  • Proactively participate in safety program and training.
  • Communicate with crew and leadership effectively and respectfully.
  • Maintain a clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized facility to reduce waste and optimize productivity.
  • Complete required paperwork, including but not limited to Daily and Weekly Task Lists; Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Did I Forms, Time Sheets.
  • Create and maintain batch report through the pour cycle.
  • Report all material usage and align with daily batching report to ensure an accurate monthly inventory. 
  • Coordinate with production foreman to ensure concrete delivery times are being met as requested.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure work orders are submitted and completed.
  • Perform monthly raw material inventory count and submit to supervisor for review.
  • Plan, order and maintain concrete raw material inventory to ensure on hand material meets daily production requirements.


Requirements

Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with running machines and construction equipment.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and learn to read blueprints
  • Willing to train

Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment with 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Regularly required stand, push, pull, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work long hours.
  • Exposure to construction environment, including dust and noise.
  • Exposure to seasonal outdoor elements including extreme heat and cold
