Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services Team
Come join the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services team and help ensure best in class service to our customers. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Aircraft Maintenance and/or Aircraft Customization team, performing a variety of tasks such as installations, inspections, fabrication, and modification, all in accordance with applicable data and customer specifications. You’ll be able to showcase and grow your technical ability and teamwork skills, while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
What you’ll be doing as an A&P Mechanic (Entry Level)
- Perform basic maintenance such as preservation/ depreservation and removal and repair of basic airframe components
- Perform basic inspections such as 25hr/30 day and 6 month inspections
- Perform basic repairs, including basic sheet metal repairs
- Fabricate basic parts as needed
- Assist with post maintenance flyoffs as needed
- Safely and appropriately use basic hand tools and airframe specific tools
- Read and interpret installation instructions, maintenance manuals, and drawings
- Document work performed in work order book consistently and accurately
- Learn and apply knowledge of tasks
- Work effectively on a team to ensure quality and timely completions of aircraft to meet aggressive schedule
- Demonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPE
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to perform job duties, including basic measuring, drilling, and fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work from detailed documents, technical manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
What you need to be successful
- High School Diploma or GED
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
- 0 to 2 years performing heavy maintenance on rotorcraft, preferably Bell aircraft, or equivalent. Additional experience may qualify selected candidate for offer at higher level/salary grade.
Preferred
- Sheet metal and basic avionics skills.
- 3 years automotive or military experience.
- Bell field maintenance courses, Bell commercial rotorcraft experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
