We Are Looking For 

The Director, Procurement oversees all aspects of Hardware material procurement and supply chain management for FDH’s Hardware division. This executive-level role leads global purchasing across the Americas, Europe and Asia for Arlington International Aviation Products (AIAP) and FDH Aero. Key functional areas include procurement operations and supplier LTA support.


What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Responsible for procurement and replenishment 
  • Ensures procurement is conducted in an efficient, agile, and accurate manner 
  • Leads purchasing teams across the Americas, Europe, and Asia 
  • Navigates multiple ERP platforms to manage procurement performance 
  • Collaborates with sales, quality & business leadership on new product lines and/or supplier relationships 
  • Key stakeholder in product expansion and new customer program onboarding (kitting, VMI) 
  • Works closely with the Inventory Planning team to meet inventory objectives 
  • Establishes tools and processes to improve visibility of vendor on-order 
  • Identifies risks and opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, pricing, lead-times and/or net working capital performance 
  • Engages directly with supplier partners to negotiate improved lead-times, lower procurement costs, and optimized inventory receipts 
  • Develops strong supplier relationships, serving as a point of escalation and strategic engagement 
  • Acts as a thought leader in supply chain management, blending functional leadership with strong business acumen 
  • Partners with the Sr. Director, Supply Chain to develop and implement a harmonized set of global SCM policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Champions a high-performance culture focused on procurement delivery, inventory cost, and vendor on-order management 
  • Challenges the status quo, engages the team in continuous improvement, and motivates and inspires 
  • Evaluates and implements best-in-class internal and external operational processes, technologies, and tools 


What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain experience in the aerospace industry 
  • Experience in distribution, logistics, inventory planning, and project management 
  • Deep knowledge of aerospace hardware manufacturers, key product categories, and aerospace market landscape 
  • Experience with ERP/MRP platforms; significant coordination with finance and information technology stakeholders 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions
  • Ability to motivate and engage teams across multiple sites and geographies 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and partners 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities 
  • Willingness to travel as required 


Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required. 
  • ITAR requirement
  • 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
