Hand Trim, Assoc Position Overview:
Perform trim operations using a pneumatic router of composite parts in an engineered mill fixture. Perform visual and functional inspection operations to assure product meets all requirements and specifications. Responsible for assuring final quality acceptance of trimmed parts. Responsible for completion of all Work Order and Quality System requirements using in house software.
Duties:
- Use engineered work plans to produce quality compliant trimmed parts for next higher assemblies
- Inspection to engineering requirements of completed product.
- Monitor and implement adherence to all safety and department procedures, practices and directives
- Apply edge seal, when required, in a compliant manner
- Keep work areas clean and orderly
- Support and Engage with co-workers to build and maintain an efficient unit
- Be engaged for the entirety of your shift
- Be eager to take on new and larger responsibilities
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
Job Knowledge and Educational Requirements:
- Job knowledge requires vocational or similar training, including basic shop math to aid in the interpretation and the utilization of data from engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications and procedures.
- Knowledge of shop routines and practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of using hand tools – such as saws, drills, measuring devices, etc
- Basic knowledge of personal computers, including operating systems, file management is required and knowledge of data entry
- High school diploma preferred; candidates with the ability to obtain an accredited GED are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
- No aviation experience is required but prior use of hand tools and shop math is a plus
General Physical Requirements:
- Lifting, climbing, grasping, holding, standing, bending and stooping are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
Must be able to work ANY Shift.
