Resident Aides play a vital role in supporting adults with mental health challenges in a home-like setting. You’ll build meaningful relationships, help residents with daily living skills, and contribute to a supportive and empowering environment. Located in a Doylestown apartment complex, Shady Retreat is a mental health residential program where residents choose to live and actively pursue their recovery and rehabilitation goals. We currently have full time and part time shifts available.

What You Bring
- High School Diploma required
- Educational background in psychology, social work, or related fields preferred
- Experience in mental health, healthcare or caregiving (personal or professional) strongly preferred
- Team player mentality
- Ability to adapt and stay calm in unpredictable situations
- Motivated by purpose and desire to work in a mission driven environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (with or without accommodation)
Your Role
- Provide direct support to residents in their daily routines, including hygiene, meals, and medication management
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Engage residents in recreational and therapeutic activities
- Document resident interactions and progress using electronic health records
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed practices
