The Role
The Construction Coordinator supports the Project Manager in both administrative and field/office construction operations across assigned projects. This role ensures contractor compliance with Celanese corporate and site safety standards, coordinates construction administration across multiple projects, and assists with documentation, scheduling, budget tracking, quality analysis, and engineering coordination. Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and proactively address project schedule deviations.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in day-to-day administrative and construction operations
  • Coordinate construction administration efforts across multiple projects
  • Ensure contractor compliance with corporate and site safety standards
  • Assist with project documentation, scheduling, and budget control
  • Monitor productivity and quality performance
  • Facilitate coordination between office and field engineering teams
  • Communicate project status to project managers and contractors, identifying and addressing schedule deviations
  • Maintain strong client-facing communication and reporting

Expected:

  • 10+ years of industry experience in construction coordination or related roles
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating with diverse teams

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Celanese standards or similar industrial environments
  • Experience with construction scheduling and project management tools
