Work Hours: 40 hour workweek: 7AM-3:30PM. Assigned days and/or shift can be changed according to staffing needs. Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as required.

Summary of Functions:
The Building Engineer (BE) is responsible for insuring preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance repairs are conducted correctly at all OneLegacy locations. Coordinates repairs and maintenance and is a liaison between contractors and vendors to the Director of Facilities. This position also performs preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders for all OneLegacy locations.
The Building Engineer (BE) is responsible for performing preventative maintenance work as well as maintaining, inspecting, and performing minor repairs to domestic water distribution systems, medical gas systems, fire extinguishing systems, HVAC systems, and associated mechanical, electrical, building equipment, in clinical areas, offices, and other assigned areas of the corporate facility and other OneLegacy sites/properties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
1.Oversees all logs related to Facility, environmental services, and security operations.
2.Ensures that all facilities and equipment operate within design capabilities and achieve proper environmental conditions as required by applicable regulation (e.g., back flow prevention certification, infrared scan, emergency generator load bank testing).
3.Responds promptly to fire alarms, floods and disaster codes.
4.Performs and documents all assigned Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance actions.
5.Responds to Work Orders as assigned, completing all requests and ensuring a Work Order is written for remaining work
6.Ensures timely resolution of all work order requests and service calls, tracking completion.
7.Maintains a safe, clean, and secure environment for staff, donors/donor families, visitors, and others entering OneLegacy facilities, following established procedures and safety regulations.
8.Assist in developing operating instructions and procedures for equipment and systems.
9.Performs other duties, as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Must possess general aptitude in office mechanics, equipment, and machinery to include intermediate to advanced computer (MS Office) skills as well as HRIS and Payroll software skills.
2.Must be able to think critically and analyze complex issues.
3.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4.Demonstrates interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of management and staff, and the ability to manage conflict.
5.Knowledge of applicable regulations and laws.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Location: Corporate Office, with travel to other OneLegacy facilities
Travel:Occasionally required to travel by personal auto to meeting sites and other locations. Occasionally required to travel to off-site trainings, seminars or workshops.
Work Hours: Forty-hour workweek. Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required, and may have overtime hours.
Job Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: 3+ years’ experience in general maintenance activities
Certification/License: OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance. Please refer to OneLegacy’s Policy HR108 - Licensure and Certification for insurance coverage requirements. Equipment:
Reliable automotive transportation is required.
Salary Range: $81,300 - $106,700
