About the Department
Under general supervision, the Utility Maintenance Worker performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and construction of water and wastewater systems. The position requires the safe operation of a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications
The position requires working outdoors in extreme temperatures and conditions. Duties involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting. Employees must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds. Work involves exposure to chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, confined spaces, trenches, road traffic, noise, fumes, odors, water, mud, dirt, and dust. Employees must be capable of safely navigating slippery, uneven, or sloped surfaces. |
