Description
iTech Digital is looking to add a Senior Security Sales Engineer to our growing Team. iTech Digital is celebrating 25 years of providing cutting edge video surveillance, access control, and intrusion solutions delivered with true customer care. We are a privately held, proudly American company based in Indianapolis, IN.
As a Senior Engineer you will leverage your technical knowledge to design integrated security solutions, build estimates, and create detailed documentation in advance of a successful deployment. Additionally, you will play a key role in exploring new technologies, and provide expertise and support to our Sales Team.
Requirements
• 5-8+ years working with electronic security; specifically, sales engineering, solutions design, or technical consulting in the security industry.
• Installation or consulting experience with access control, intrusion alarm, and video surveillance.
• Experience in commercial security applications.
• Familiarity with IP networking, cybersecurity considerations, cloud-based security platforms, and AI-driven security applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, security technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Industry or manufacturer certifications desirable.
• Ability to uphold organizational values and ethics.
• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and listening.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• An open and honest team player.
Responsibilities
• Partner with account executives to support the sales cycle by providing technical expertise to match the customer with the appropriate solution.
• Conduct site surveys, needs assessments, and security risk evaluations to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Develop and present system designs, builds of materials, and scopes of work for access control, intrusion alarm, and video surveillance solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into system architecture, integration, and deployment plans.
• Research and evaluate new and emerging security technologies—including AI, cloud, IoT, and analytics platforms—to strengthen solution offerings and deliver forward-looking business value.
• Show how next-gen security analytics enhance safety while unlocking operational and strategic advantages.
• Stay current with industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements to advise clients and guide company strategy.
