In the role of Medical Assistant, you will provide crucial support to our medical team and deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and accurately recording medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are properly prepared and available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and properly prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage communications with professionalism and efficiency.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and appropriate skincare practices.
- Ensure that examination rooms are maintained in a clean, organized, and fully stocked manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and protocols specific to dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Basic proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
