Part-Time Security Officer bei First Class Security

Shift Schedule: Friday and Saturday 9pm-3am

Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional and attentive Security Officer to support the safe and enjoyable environment of a high-volume sports bar. The Security Officer will be stationed at the entrance and is primarily responsible for maintaining a secure atmosphere by greeting guests, verifying identification, screening for prohibited items with a metal detector, and monitoring crowd behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests at the entrance and provide a professional first impression of the establishment.
• Check government-issued identification to verify legal age for entry and alcohol service.
• Conduct screenings using a handheld metal detector to ensure no weapons or prohibited items enter the premises.
• Enforce venue policies consistently and fairly, maintaining a respectful but firm demeanor.
• Monitor crowd behavior and notify management or law enforcement of any safety concerns or escalated incidents.
• Assist with de-escalating conflicts when necessary, prioritizing the safety of guests and staff.
• Maintain detailed incident reports as needed.
• Work collaboratively with bar staff and management to uphold a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess a valid security license or permit (if required by local jurisdiction).
• Training in conflict resolution, de-escalation, or crowd management is a plus.

Work Environment:
This role requires working in a busy, energetic nightlife environment with loud noise and large crowds. Officers must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while enforcing safety standards.
