Overview:

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a PeopleSoft Technical Consultant to work in a hybrid or remote capacity with the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, based out of the Finance Building in downtown Harrisburg, PA. This position offers flexibility for remote work (to be discussed during the interview process), with local candidates preferred. Free parking is available within walking distance for on-site work.

As a PeopleSoft Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of the PeopleSoft 9.2 Absence Management module and integrating it with existing Payroll systems. This role requires a blend of technical and functional PeopleSoft expertise, collaboration with business and IT stakeholders, and strong problem-solving capabilities to support and enhance the HCM suite. You will work closely with the PeopleSoft Development and HR teams to ensure a successful rollout and provide ongoing support and improvements for mission-critical state operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead the implementation of PeopleSoft 9.2 Absence Management with Payroll integration according to business requirements.

  • Design, develop, and support application solutions to meet client requirements.

  • Analyze and design functional/technical solutions for PeopleSoft enhancements and continuous improvement.

  • Translate end-user requirements into PeopleSoft-specific configurations and identify required customizations.

  • Provide technical support in the design, development, testing, and deployment of PeopleSoft applications.

  • Review and recommend improvements to current PeopleSoft processes.

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to develop project plans and determine resource requirements.

  • Maintain project technical documentation for management review.

  • Provide production support for PeopleSoft applications and resolve problem tickets in a timely manner.

  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support for business users.

  • Work with the application development team to ensure technical solutions fit business needs and overall architecture.

  • Document defects identified during testing, collaborate with the development team to resolve them, and retest until resolved.

  • Provide overall process assistance to the PeopleSoft development team.

  • Help prioritize defect fixes using an understanding of business requirements and customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft Functional/Technical Consultant implementing Absence Management and Payroll.

  • Strong understanding of Fluid user interfaces for PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM modules: HR, Payroll, and Absence Management.

  • In-depth knowledge of functionalities within PeopleSoft HCM modules.

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience working in State or Local Government environments.

  • Strong skills in SQL scripting.

  • Detail-oriented in creating functional documentation for changes and issue reporting.
