Our Mission: The mission of the La Center School District is to create a supportive learning environment that empowers students to reach their fullest potential. Position Description: Our coaches support the district mission by:
- Assisting with the High School program in developing skills and fundamentals of wrestling
- Working with the High School and Middle School coaching staff to develop a cohesive 7-12 program
- Coaching and developing athletes on the High School wrestling team and instilling a good foundation of wrestling basics.
Terms of Employment: - November 17, 2025 - February 7, 2026; must be available each weekday at 3:30 for practices/meets and Saturdays for tournaments
- Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
- Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense
Salary Range: $2,783 - $3,874/season depending on experience
Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State Law. Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience wrestling at the High School level or beyond
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience competing at state while wrestling in High School
- Experience coaching wrestling at the High School level or beyond
- Experience wrestling in Greco, Roman and Freestyle
