Substitute Bus Driver - Transportation Department bei Creswell School District

Creswell School District is seeking highly-skilled candidates for Substitute Bus Driver positions with our Transportation Department.

This position is open until filled. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include:

• To safely operate a district bus in a highly skilled manner transporting students to and from school and special activities.

Duties may include:

• Drives a school bus on an assigned route and special trips outside the district observing all traffic laws, rules, and regulations
• Loads and off loads students at specific stops on an established time schedule
• Checks vehicle before each trip to determine possible deficiencies in signals, lights, wipers, brakes, gas and oil
• Reports mechanical difficulties to superior, records gas, oil and mileage readings
• Keeps vehicle clean inside and out
• Maintains discipline on bus and reports discipline problems to superior
• Other appropriate duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Possess at least an Oregon Class C License
• Current first aid card or ability to obtain one
• Safe driving record
• Successful completion of the physical examination for school bus drivers
• Successful completion of fingerprint screening
• Successful completion of drug screening
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, parents and the public using tact, courtesy and good judgment

*Hourly Rate according to bargaining agreement with Oregon School Employees Association (currently negotiating), 24-25 school year hourly rates listed.
