The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

PURPOSE: As a Lab Supervisor, the individual is expected to Coordinate Refrigeration Lab Operations (Thermal, Structural, Controls/Electronics, Safety/Codes) as if an independent business, taking care of day-to-day activities and strategic objectives, cooperating with Lab Manager in moving the lab and team to a new level of performance comparable to other reference labs located in other Location and  countries. 

Experience- 6 to 9 Years

Education- B.E./M.Tech (Electrical/ Thermodynamics)



Your responsibilities will include

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Plan and follow-up progress of any lab testing activities to be executed by lab technicians.

  • Work with design teams to anticipate future demand, understand the gap over his labs and create a plan on how to address it.

  • Work with and assist technicians in each Lab as needed and drive the Team according to priorities and official procedures.

  • Manage the resources of the Lab assigning activities also through the usage of Lab Request System.

  • Work with Lab Manager to continuously improve lab infrastructure, efficiency, Lead time/Speed on key procedures, overall Lab Quality and productivity.

  • Work with the Lab Manager to consistently improve the Maintenance Program, reducing downtime and rework caused by equipment failures.

  • Improve Lab facilities, driving 5S, visual and infrastructure improvements.

  • Ensure employees Safety by finding and removing Safety risks/vulnerabilities (monthly basis).

  • Work with design teams to anticipate workload and ensure capacity and capabilities.

  • Owns People Excellence and ensures we have the right talent for the right roles, build competencies and succession pipeline.

  • Manage the Activities  related to ISO 17025 in the lab, Lead the NABL audit/sustain the accreditation.

  • Work with Lab Manager to improve Year Of Year Engagement Scores (own team) and Customer Satisfaction Scores (ES Survey).

Minimum requirements

TECHNICAL

  1. Should have good knowledge of Thermodynamics systems.

  2. Good problem solving skills (OpEx/Six Sigma Black Belt Trained/Certified and or Lean Trained is desired) (Intro to Opex mandatory)

  3. FMEA, 5S, Basic Quality tools Exposure would be preferred.

  4. Ability to guide teams to trouble shoot Chiller & AHU of thermodynamics lab.

  5. Certified ISO/IEC 17025 for NABL accreditation.

Preferred skills and experiences

MANAGERIAL

  1. Capability to work in a global engineering team environment, with customers located in other locations.

  2. Flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business task/project priorities.

  3. Good business communication (written/verbal).

  4. Strategic View and transformation skills: be able to define desired future state, support the creation of the action plan and align resources for achieving the plan.
