About the Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition and Growth
- Drive new business across all market segments with a focus on increasing AUD order book activity.
- Build and maintain strong client pipelines by proactively identifying and engaging key market participants.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns that attract and retain active traders.
- Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering a white-glove service experience.
- Develop long-term relationships to increase wallet share and client stickiness, including reactivation of dormant accounts.
- Partner with market makers, brokers, and trading firms to ensure strong ecosystem participation.
- Market Development and Strategy
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to grow OKX AU’s footprint in the Australian market.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform go-to-market strategies and refine client offerings.
- Work closely with the product team to provide client feedback that shapes trading tools and platform enhancements.
- Trading Experience Across Products
- Leverage strong understanding of Spot, OTC, and Derivatives markets to engage clients with tailored trading solutions.
- Educate clients on product use cases, risk management, and trading strategies to enhance their participation and retention.
- Provide insights on client needs across asset classes to inform OKX’s product development roadmap.
- Financial Product Enablement
- Support the introduction and rollout of new financial products tailored to local market demand.
- Streamline and improve onboarding for wholesale and institutional clients to reduce friction and accelerate time-to-trade.
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell across OKX’s broader suite of products and Web3 offerings.
- Compliance and Risk Awareness
- Ensure all client acquisition and relationship management activities adhere to local regulatory requirements.
- Partner with compliance and legal teams to maintain transparent and compliant communications with clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align closely with global business development, trading, marketing, and product teams to deliver consistent market strategies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on client acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue growth metrics.
What We Look For In You
- Proven track record as a sales professional skilled in building prospect pipelines, developing opportunities and closing deals
- Strong understanding of the regional market and what is required to build a high-value sales pipeline
- Passionate about crypto, blockchain technology and Web3
- Extensive knowledge and trading experience across Spot, OTC, Derivatives
- Extensive knowledge of products that we offer to our clients (Spot trading, Derivatives such as Perps/Futures/Options/Margin, Cash OTC)
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Preferably 1-3 years crypto experience, ideally on another exchange/platform
