As a Customer Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success. The position will partner with key customers across Independent Grocery and Alternate Channels by developing business strategies. We are looking for a leader who will guide, coach and manage a team of 9 and can balance operational, analytical, and interpersonal skills to achieve our shared goals.

Your day to day:

  • Provide leadership for their specific account, demonstrating an ability to unlock value and collaborating internally to deliver.
  • Drive revenue and operating income for specified accounts within their budget limitations.
  • Monitor and optimise trade spend investment to ensure both Haleon and the account maximise the return
  • Plan and directly manages the activities for the customer. Coordinate all category reviews for core brands, and complete business reviews with the customer as required.
  • Maximise Haleon's range and distribution, ranging new products as per launch plans and delivering sales in line with forecast bias expectations.
  • Execute promotional plans in line with category strategy
  • Develop a deep understanding of the key drivers that underpin their account’s joint business plan, ensuring that it is delivered.
  • Achieve Total Net Sales Target for your customer.
  • Manage Trade spend for your customer within budget.
  • Develop growth initiatives to incorporate into JBP and execute these.
  • Lead the execution of all plans across accounts to ensure execution consistency.
  • Monthly field visits in each state/territory with TM's when in their state/territory.

You are:

  • Commercially savvy, with experience in commercial positions- sales, category, business management
  • Can demonstrate exceptional leadership by guiding and coaching direct reports to achieve their full potential, fostering a culture of continuous growth and collaboration
  • Proven experience in strategic business planning, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, with a forward-thinking approach to technology and innovation
  • Experienced in sales within consumer goods
