This position will support FPSO operations by overseeing and ensuring the integrity of all metering systems. It will involve monitoring system performance, validating data, and providing daily operational support. The role will also act as the Technical Authority for metering, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements, including ANP and INMETRO standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all fluid metering systems at FPSO are performed in accordance with the technical requirements and legal deadlines, meeting the requirements outlined in Joint Resolution ANP / INMETRO 01: 2013 (RTM).
  • Provide technical support daily, in relation to measurement problems in the FPSO;
  • Participate/assist in metering audits;
  • Act as Technical Authority to measurement issues;
  • Verify that FPSO operator’s procedures and manuals are in accordance with current ANP, ISO and other relevant standards for offshore oil and natural gas flow measurement (fiscal, allocation and operational);
  • Manage and monitor the status of the flow metering systems (fiscal, allocation and operational);
  • Conduct critical analysis of failure reports, calibrations and periodic maintenance of fiscal, allocation and custody transfer metering systems in accordance with RTM and applicable standards;
  • Verify, validate and submit data (failure reports, flow computer data, well test reports and monthly production report) related to the FPSO metering systems to ANP;
  • Keep updated the measurement points registered in the SFP (ANP production system);
  • Validate offloading measurement reports;
  • Verify the operational history of seal removal and installation;
  • Verify that the FPSO operator is following calibration plans, uncertainty calculations, and required flow computer upgrades;
  • Verify / validate in case of measurement system failure the volume estimate as specified in ANP
  • resolutions;
  • Verify / monitor backups of measurement equipment information, fault history, equipment replacement, and parameter changes;
  • Carry out the planning and control of the sample collection service for chemical analysis, interface with logistics for loading / unloading materials related to the samples, and, if necessary, validate the results of PVT and chromatographic analysis. After validation, monitor the results/inform the need to update the flow computers;
  • Follow up the routines to keep the Metering Management System in operation without non-conformities;

Requirements


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding and knowledge of FPSO marine & process systems
  • Familiar with engineering/industry standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, NACE etc
  • Advanced English (oral and written).
