The Director of Grandparent Relations/Advancement Team Events Coordinator will lead efforts to engage and connect with grandparents, fostering meaningful relationships that support the broader mission of CAK. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, and working in conjuction with the Advancement team, this role will develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the grandparent experience, collaborate across departments to ensure alignment, and contribute to the planning and execution of Advancement Team events. The ideal candidate is passionate about relationship-building, possesses exceptional communication skills, and thrives in engaging with diverse stakeholder groups. Requirements
Strategic Planning & Program Development
- Establish annual goals and a clear timeline for grandparent-focused programs and activities.
- Lead the implementation of these initiatives with attention to detail, timeliness, and impact.
Relationship Building & Community Engagement
- Create diverse opportunities for grandparents to actively participate in school life—through volunteerism, mentoring, philanthropy, and other meaningful contributions.
- Develop and execute engagement strategies that build lasting relationships and deepen support for CAK’s faculty and students.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to enhance grandparent involvement across campus life.
Communications & Storytelling
- Partner with the Director of Communications to gather stories and highlights that showcase grandparent contributions in newsletters, website features, and other media.
- Develop compelling content for grandparent communications, including email newsletters, social media posts, and web updates.
Data Management & Reporting
- Inconjuction with the CAK Business Office, maintain accurate grandparent records using Blackbaud Raisiser's Edge.
- Track engagement touchpoints (emails, calls, meetings) to inform outreach strategies and measure impact.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between grandparents and internal teams, ensuring clear, empathetic communication and alignment with CAK’s values.
- Support and promote opportunities for grandparents to serve in various areas of the school, reinforcing their integral role in our community.
Additional Responsibilities
- A highly organized, relational, and dynamic person with a passion for building relationships with the grandparent community at CAK. This individual must have excellent communication skills and will be expected to build strong relationships with grandparents, current students, parents, and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; master's degree preferred.
- Development, Marketing, or relevant experience required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
