Summary

To assist the credit union in achieving its mission statement: “PFCU WILL DELIVER FINANCIAL WELL-BEING WITH VALUE, CONVENIENCE AND EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE”. The IT Manager is responsible for the overall performance and availability of the PFCU Network and daily IT operations including network and server administration, application support, desktop support. The IT Manager directly supervises the IT Department and is responsible for ensuring technical staff maintain operational compliance, disaster recovery, business continuity plans, and risk mitigation strategies. The IT Network Manager works closely with several third party vendors and requires a thorough understanding of IT networking & telecommunications. The IT Manager maintains on-call status for network/system outages and manages day-to-day IT availability for network/system outages, integrity, and confidentiality for PFCU while Supporting, modeling & adhering to PFCU’s Service Standards as outlined in My MARC.

Essential Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities

· Oversee IT Operations: Manage the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring that all systems are reliable and secure.

· Provide leadership oversight for IT Department employees.

· Meet with assigned IT Department employees monthly to provide customized coaching and mentorship in the area of performance. Set goals and assist employee to develop plans for continual growth and success within their position. Document coaching and other performance related conversations in PFCU’s performance management software.

· Monitor employees’ performance; conduct performance appraisals in a timely manner; provides encouragement and recognition for outstanding performance.

· Manage all IT time/attendance, hiring/training matters. Complete corrective actions as required.

· Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of network and server/system hardware, peripheral devices, software, processes, and applications.

· Support the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks by continuously refining standard IT processes, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring compliance across all policy areas.

· Work with the team to ensure IT Systems are properly patched, secured, and that all critical security vulnerabilities are managed with urgency.

· Develop and maintain IT asset inventory system.

· Oversee budgeting and invoicing operations, ensuring all purchases are properly accounted for and meet established standards of financial accountability.

· Participate in short and long-range planning to help select and utilize appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the credit union.

· Assist in updating and testing DR plans, BCP plans, and control documentation.

· Provide documentation for and participate in all IT audit activities including risk assessments and incident response.

· Direct projects as required.

· Develop and maintain quarterly reports on updates on ticketing system statistics, open IT internal projects, and project timelines.

· Ensure that IT areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.

· Attend and participate in educational meetings and seminars as requested by the CTO, VP or IT.

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements which would include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Red Flag and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, and other compliance related policies.

Financial transactions are confidential and private. With account access, employees are to handle member information responsibly and confidentially.

Qualification Requirements

Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computer science field, or least 5 years of Information Technology / Network Administration or similar experience. or achievement of formal certifications recognized within the industry as an equivalent. (IT certifications in lieu of a degree)

Preferred Certifications ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or similar

Work Experience At least 3 years of first level management experience or team/project lead equivalent. 3 years of Credit Union or other financial services experience (not required but nice to have).

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, members, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the capability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations.

Other Skills & Abilities

· Previous Cisco network administration experience including firewall administration, routing & switching, vlans, telecommunications, and wireless networking.

· VMWare ESXi & Microsoft HyperV hypervisor administration/configuration, Veeam Backup & Recovery

· Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Domain Administration, SQL Server

· Technical planning, project management, and supervisory experience

· Change management, incident management, patch management experience

· IT risk management/assessment, monitoring, reporting

· Effective problem solving and math skills

· Comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management

· Punctual, self-motivated, confident and accurate

· Positive team-oriented attitude and excellent leadership skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Professional attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure

· Knowledge of Credit Union and/or financial products/services/application
