Job Description
A general fabricator is the cornerstone of our private label fabrication division, from air intake tubes to cat-back exhaust systems and everything in between. Our fabricators utilize 304 stainless steel mandrel-bent tubing extensively. Perform all functions of tube bending, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

Job Duties

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC & NC mandrel tube bending equipment to manufacture Stainless pipe to specifications and work orders.
• Fabricate directly from drawings, samples, programs, or instructions without supervision.
• Use of a band-saw and deburring machine.
• Select all layouts, templates, or check fixtures.
• Develop layouts from drawings, samples, or instructions.
• Select all tools, dies, and fixture requirements.
• Check bent parts to program specification and tolerance using proper measurement and inspect equipment.
• Inspect end product from bending operation to ensure accuracy and maintain and operate tube bending equipment.
• Wash parts as required.
• Identify, properly tag, and remove non-conforming materials.
• Complete all required paperwork/ computer work correctly and timely.
• Perform the first article runs and communicate recommendations as appropriate.
• Operate forklift and manual pallet jack.
• Maintains the work area and equipment clean and orderly and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Report equipment issues to maintenance technician and/or supervisor.
• Kit picking of parts and materials related tasks as required to support the position.
• Other job duties assigned per the needs of the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of bending equipment and ability to adjust and solve problems as needed.
• Ability to operate and/or read a tape measure, calipers, protractor, and process sheets.
• Forklift certified preferred but can train
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective and professional communication skills-verbal and written.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
• Time management skills, prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations such as heavy/varying workload and order accuracy.
• Logical troubleshooting skills.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment, flexibility.

Minimum Requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience

• At least 1 year of previous experience with operating CNC equipment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is located onsite in Wrightstown, WI. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.

• This position is very active and requires standing and walking for 8 hours a day.
• Working in all climates for a period of time.
• Bend/kneel, stoop/crouch, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead, and outward frequently.
• The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30lbs.
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing proper personal protective equipment.
