  SUMMARY / OVERVIEW

The Commercial Loan Officer will be responsible for developing new deposit business, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. Also, he/she will represent the bank in the local community through active participation in community affairs and by marketing all of the bank’s products and services. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

May perform any or all of the following duties:

1. Make sales calls to prospective customers to bring new business to the Bank.

2. Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs in accordance with the Bank’s program standards.

3. Order appropriate services needed to facilitate the fulfillment process (i.e. ACH Services, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, Business Online, Credit Cards, Merchant Services, Wire Manager, account setup).

4. Maintain and update portfolio of existing and prospective clients.

5. Research and recommend products and services appropriate to compete in the current banking environment.

6. Process applications according to policy and regulations.

7. Complete all customer closings in a manner which assures the customer is in complete understanding of all terms and conditions.

8. Comply with all Federal regulations regarding disclosure on loan and deposit products (i.e. CIP, Reg. E, Reg. Z, etc.).

9. Communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with customer complaints.

10. Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other Bank departments when necessary.

11. Make calls to customers regarding negative account balances and develop supportive long-term solutions.

12. Contact customers to obtain any necessary signatures on items with missing or irregular signatures.

13. Evaluate both retail and business deposit products and recommend changes as appropriate.

14. Complete documentation and reports as requested by Senior Vice President.

15. Perform other duties as assigned.
