Overview
Performs essential HR functions, including staffing, payroll support, leave management, benefits administration, investigations, compliance, and employee relations. Responsible for maintaining employee records. The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the site.
Essential Functions
- Talent acquisition, including extending job offers, coordinating physicals and MSHA for all new hires
- Enter employee personnel data, including benefits data,I-9 and tax information
- Enter payroll data.
- Track leave and engaging in interactive dialogue with employees.
- Mediate conflicts and resolve workplace issues.
- Conduct and complete investigations.
- Respond to human-resource related questions.
- Maintain current knowledge of human resource-related laws.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records and documentation to meet legal requirements.
- Assist in new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Maintain employee personnel records.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and issues.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR Policies and procedures. Ensure consistent application of policies across the organization.
- Providing data sheets on all employee changes and movement.
- Support performance appraisal process and assist in setting performance goals and tracking progress.
- Facilitate training sessions as needed.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and participate in employee engagement initiatives.
- Gather feedback to improve workplace satisfaction.
- Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
