Description
FireTron is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector (RME-I) for our Austin area team. The right candidate will be proficient at inspecting, testing, servicing, and maintaining a wide range of fire sprinkler systems. This role requires leadership skills to train and mentor team members, along with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to FireTron’s customers.
Requirements
- Perform inspections on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and standpipe systems, as well as fire pumps and hydrants; document deficiencies and prepare accurate materials lists.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump systems.
- Strong commitment to customer service with excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Skilled in troubleshooting using technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, service bulletins, and modification notices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and product manuals.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
- Maintain proper truck inventory to ensure timely response to service calls.
- Strict adherence to company and customer safety policies and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving tools and equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Experience operating power machines, threaders, and other essential tools.
- Comfortable working in challenging conditions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lifts up to 60 feet, as well as working in crawl spaces, ducts, and above ceilings.
- Active RME-I license required.
- BPAT license preferred.
