Position: Accounting Manager

Location: Carolina Regional Office – Raleigh, NC (Onsite)
Competitive Pay:
$70,000–$80,000 per year (based on experience & qualifications)
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 to 5pm



What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Manager, you’ll ensure financial accuracy and support the success of our communities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring accounting personnel, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Staff Accountants.
  • Managing hiring, training, performance reviews, and professional development for accounting team members.
  • Serving as backup for AP, AR, and Staff Accountant roles as needed.
  • Coordinating year-end updates for association fees and financial data.
  • Working with Operations and Corporate offices to set up new properties, management contracts, and financial balances.
  • Partnering with collection attorneys on liens, foreclosures, and bankruptcy accounts; attending court hearings when required.
  • Managing association bank accounts, CDs, transfers, and reserve funds to ensure accuracy.
  • Reviewing and resolving financial issues, reconciliations, and preparing association tax filings.
  • Meeting with Association Boards to address financial and budgeting issues.
  • Supporting both ongoing and special financial projects.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, plus 2+ years of accounting experience (or equivalent). 
  • Proven accounting experience with a strong background in collections
  • Prior supervisory experience required; ability to lead, mentor, and motivate accounting staff
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced math skills, including ratios, percentages, financial tracking, and projections
  • Proficient with a 10-key calculator and standard office software
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with attorneys, legal processes, and financial reporting preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with boards, managers, and corporate leadership
