About the Department
Under general supervision, the Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing City facilities, equipment, and buildings. This role involves a wide range of tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repair work to ensure the proper functioning and safety of City properties.

Minimum Qualifications
• Work is performed throughout City facilities, requiring exposure to potentially dangerous tools
equipment, outside weather conditions, and hazardous chemicals.
• Duties may involve climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting/moving objects weighing up to
60 pounds.
