About the Department
Under the general direction of the Director of Safety is responsible for ensuring PSM compliance in a safe, accident-free and healthy work environment by performing the following duties.
Position Duties
PSM Risk Manager ensure that LPG operation and Power Generation faculties processes and operations are conducted safely, minimizing hazards and risks. They ensure that work environments comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Their duties and responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures
• Conducting PSM audits and inspections to identify hazards and non-compliance issues
• Training employees in PSM procedures, regulations, and accident prevention
• Investigating accidents and incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future
• Preparing reports on PSM related incidents and compliance issues
• Providing technical advice on PSM process safety issues and proposed changes
• Reviewing and updating emergency response procedures
• Working with government regulators to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations
• Keeping abreast of new laws and regulations relating to process safety
• Developing PSM policies and programs that instill a safety culture within the organization
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
• Conduct regular PSM audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Perform risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal PSM regulations.
• Lead incident investigations and develop reports outlining findings.
• Facilitate PSM training sessions for employees and managers.
• Monitor the implementation of PSM initiatives and programs.
• Provide guidance and advice on technical and process safety issues.
• Ensure emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place.
• Keep records of PSM-related incidents and propose corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience in Process Safety or similar role in a related field.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Experience of conducting safety audits and inspections.
• Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventative measures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience In organization leadership and the ability to work independently.
Other Qualifications
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g. CSP, CIH, CSM).
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
• Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
• BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred.
