Job Summary

The purpose of this position to support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Finance Program activities. Responsible for all areas relating to financial accounting. Develops and maintains department-specific accounting policies, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders inside and outside the County. Provides management of accounting staff. Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of finance and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, management and financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.


Pay Rate

The annual salary range is from $108,859.10 to $153,981.08 depending on experience, plus full benefits.

*The County pays monthly on the last week day of the month.*

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • Must complete ICS 100 and ICS 200 within the first year of employment.

Qualifications/Education

  

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or public administration, or a closely related field, and
  • eight (8) years of progressively responsible governmental accounting or finance work, or
  • any equivalent combination of education and experience that the County deems appropriate.
