Job Purpose

The Herc Customer Billing Team Lead is responsible for providing customer service and billing needs to customers that require more specialized attention from the time of billing until the receivable is paid. This position reports to the Customer Billing Assistant Manager and ensures that portal billed customers receive accurately billed invoices in a timely manner. This position requires attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure contract compliance and help promote long-term business relationships with our customers and internal business partners. 
Effective communication skills and the ability to accurately communicate billing issues are critical in obtaining account resolution and minimizing payment delays. Billing procedures have been developed to provide a systematic way of managing accounts while also retaining our customer’s loyalty and driving successful business results.
 

What you will do...

•    Supports new customer portal billing and registration requests (Ariba, Taulia, Coupa, etc) 

•    Assist with answering team group inbox emails 

•    Ensures timely and accurate billing of customer portal billed accounts including national account invoices to ensure contract compliance.

•    Coach and Train team members, handle team billing issues, subject matter expert for specific applications

•    Identify opportunities to streamline customer billing processes. 

•    Ensure job aids are created and updated for all active portal team managed accounts.

•    Improve team efficiency.

•    Proactively reach out to internal contacts on invoice issues and rejections, provide invoice copies, documentation and other activities required to ensure payment on past due invoices. 

•    Process customer disputes with a sense of urgency.

•    Take proactive measures to address and bring material portal billing changes to asst. manager. 

•    Maintain relationships with internal and external customers to drive efficiencies in processes.

•    Assist in projects, process improvements, and other related tasks as identified by leadership.
 

Requirements

•    Four years’ work experience utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•    Prior portal billing and vendor registration experience preferred. 
•    Three-years credit and collection experience.

Skills

•    Proficient Microsoft Excel and Word
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision and think logically & constructively
•    Excellent creative problem solver
•    GetPaid Experience 
•    Organizational and time management skills
•    Strong sense of urgency and customer focus
•    Skilled in both verbal and written communication

Pay Range: $26 - $29 an hour
