Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the Chef de Cuisine, the Culinary Intern will assist in preparing and executing menu items while learning professional kitchen operations. This role emphasizes maintaining high culinary standards, cleanliness, and organization in a fast-paced environment.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing menu items according to CCR recipes and standards, developing foundational culinary skills.
• Support the kitchen team by serving menu items while maintaining portion and presentation standards.
• Notify chefs promptly of any shortages or operational issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas and equipment while following health and safety regulations.
• Participate in additional tasks assigned by the Chef de Cuisine to support the overall success of the culinary team.
• Represent the culinary department by upholding CCR’s values and standards as a professional team member.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail and multitasking effectively.
• Willing to assist others and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
• Comfortable standing/walking for up to 8 hours and lifting up to 30 lbs.
•  Proactively learn and recognize member preferences to enhance the dining experience.

Education and Experience:

• Prior kitchen or culinary experience preferred but not required.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a culinary program is a plus.
