The Revenue Cycle Supervisor working under the direction of the Manager of Central Billing or Denials and Underpayments is responsible for the follow-up and resolution of accounts. This position will serve as the day-to day leadership for billing and/or denial specialists assisting with process, workflow, and escalations. This role will work to ensure on a daily, weekly, monthly basis that key performance indicators are met or exceeded through staff productivity monitoring and system issue monitoring. The role will also compile, and present reports as needed on metrics and trends within their respective areas.

Responsibilities

Monitors the work of the revenue cycle specialists engaged in the resolution of all aspects of claim billing and/or denials.

Provide consistent feedback to staff and leadership on KPI metrics and areas of opportunity.

Communicates real-time feedback to leads and specialists when applicable on workflow and process improvement opportunities.

Evaluates staff performance in conjunction with the manager to complete on the job training and yearly evaluations.

Handle escalated issues from staff and leads.

Serves as the day to day operational leader for team leads and specialists as applicable in conjunction with the Manager of their respective area.

Daily monitoring of work queues to ensure inflow and outflow is appropriate.

Identifies trends and redirects staff to better meet those needs if applicable.

May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma / GED

Preferred Education: Associate degree

Required Experience:  Minimum five (5) years of billing or denials experience. Must have at least one (1) year in team lead experience. Strong PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets. Must have the ability to learn and utilize custom systems and applications. Must possess demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
