Materials Handler bei One Brooklyn Health

Receive, store, transport, and issue any stock and/or non-stock item relevant to Hospital Receiving, Stores, and Distribution.

• Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, Quality Assurance, and safety standards.
• Receive order forms, locates stock and delivers supplies to requisitioning departments as assigned.
• Check items to be delivered against requisitions to ascertain that quantities, destinations, and routing are correct.
• Examine items received for correctness, damages, expiration dates, and specification conformance.
• Store received stock items into inventory in established departmental locations.
• Maintain all departmental requisitions and associated documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, spoilage, and stock damage.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area as required.
• Utilize any and all methodologies and automation provided to effectively complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain a high-level of performance, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Able to follow instructions.
• Good organization skills. 

• Ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
