Receive, store, transport, and issue any stock and/or non-stock item relevant to Hospital Receiving, Stores, and Distribution.
Responsibilities:- Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, Quality Assurance, and safety standards.
- Receive order forms, locates stock and delivers supplies to requisitioning departments as assigned.
- Check items to be delivered against requisitions to ascertain that quantities, destinations, and routing are correct.
- Examine items received for correctness, damages, expiration dates, and specification conformance.
- Store received stock items into inventory in established departmental locations.
- Maintain all departmental requisitions and associated documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, spoilage, and stock damage.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area as required.
- Utilize any and all methodologies and automation provided to effectively complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a high-level of performance, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- No prior experience required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Able to follow instructions.
- Good organization skills.
Ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Consistent with that necessary to work in a variety of patient care and office settings.
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day.
- Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
