JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the packaging, shipping, and receiving i.e. warehousing and inventory, of all company-related parts, tools, and materials as related to the company products and its personnel. Performs manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties to handle all incoming and outgoing packages/materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares parts safely for shipping and delivery.
- Update documentation: verifying all information is accurate as the order is processed and inputting the correct information into the computer system, as required.
- Received goods and materials and route to the appropriate department according to specific directions, following
- procedures according to product received.
- Operates forklift and other lifting mechanisms to move materials and parts to appropriate locations.
- Verifies products received against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Reviews orders for accuracy, packs orders and routes to appropriate destination.
- Logs and tracks shipments using digital tracking systems.
- Utilizes knowledge of shipping practices and procedures and record keeping requirements.
- Schedule and prioritize outbound and inbound shipments in a timely manner according to Company procedures.
- Complete inventory cycle-counts in the Shipping warehouse regularly, investigating any discrepancy between system and
- physical quantity.
- Responsible for verifying all information as the order is processed and inputting the correct information into the ERP system as required.
- Ensure SDS compliance and GHS labeling of all products.
- Perform material handling duties.
- Works proactively with other departments and provides support as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
- Builds productive working relationships with internal and external partners (i.e. planning, quality assurance, outside
- vendors, etc.).
- Receive materials into ERP system.
- Wears required protective safety apparel when on the manufacturing floor.
- Practice good housekeeping by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working Environment: Able to work in a manufacturing environment, exposure to noise, dust, abrasives, heat, cold, adhesives, chemicals, magnets and automated and manual machinery. Ability to work around some noise, dust and coolant spray when machines are in use. Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe safety shoes, and designated PPE gloves as required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry, push and pull product up to 55 lbs., bend, stretch, kneel, twist, crouch and stand for long periods of time. Ability to use a ladder and work at heights up to 25ft. Must be able to move and adapt to work in a variety of positions i.e. standing, sitting bending, and moving between work areas. Must have good hand/eye coordination.
- Willing and able to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines and complete special projects.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines for completion of projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
- Intermediate MS Office computer skills
- Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Material handling, chemical safety and forklift certifications
- Understanding of product quality standards & requirements
