Position Description
Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
- Provides pediatric anesthesia patient care, clinical anesthesia, supervision of CRNAs and other trainees
- Supervises residents, and participates in teaching activities for medical student and/or residents
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's declarations of Faculty Professional Responsibility
- Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Texas medical license or eligible for unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of Texas
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology or board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology
