                    POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

 

TITLE:  EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION LEARNING LAB PROGRAM PROVIDER

             FULL-TIME, 10-MONTHS, NON-AFFILIATED POSITION

             GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP CAMPUS

             

 

DEADLINE:  This position will be filled in no less than ten (10) days after the date of this posting.

                      

QUALIFICATIONS:             

 

   1.  Successful background and experience in Early Childhood Education in a private or public pre-school and/or

        daycare setting.

 

   2.  Training and relevant experience working with children ages 3 to 5 years old in providing nurturing, positive,

        and developmentally appropriate programming.

   

   3.  Sixty (60) college credits  and/or substitute certification and/or certification as a paraprofessional preferred.

 

   4.  Ability to plan, coordinate, and collaborate with teachers, technicians, and administrative personnel with both the

        educational and administrative functions of an early childhood education learning lab.

 

   5.  Ability to communicate effectively and interact with parents, guardians, and family members of learning lab age

        children in the program.

 

   6.  Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

 

   7.  Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of the U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

 

   8.  Meets the health qualifications required of all personnel.

                                             

   9.  Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.

 

  10.  Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools’ Nepotism Policy, File Code:  0142.1.

 

Salary is based on education, experience and/or military service according to the Board of Education of the Camden County Technical Schools and Cam/Voc Education Association Agreement Salary Guide - $34,887 -$45,931.  This is a Full-Time, 10-month, nonaffiliated position.

Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualifications for the position.

REPORTS TO:                     Supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart

 

POSITION GOAL:                To provide, facilitate and assist in the general academic, social and developmental needs of

                                         the children enrolled in the ECELL program.

 

PERFORMANCE

RESPONSIBILITIES:          1.  Serve as the lead facilitator of the learning lab for the 3-5 year old students.

 

                                       2.  Work collaboratively with the Career Technical Education (CTE) Instructor in developing

                                            lessons and programs for the program.

 

                                       3.  Assist in the Administration of the ECELL.

 

                                       4.  Serve as the main and initial point of contact with children’s parents, guardians, and

                                            families related to student developmental issues, concerns, behaviors, and other related

                                            matters.

 

                                       5.  Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational

                                            Chart/or designee.
