Who You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled Coding Department Supervisor to lead our medical coding team. This role is designed for an experienced coding professional with a strong compliance background and a passion for guiding others. The ideal candidate thrives in a leadership position, values accuracy, and is dedicated to driving process improvements that support the entire revenue cycle.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the coding department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of work.
• Supervise, train, and mentor coding staff with a focus on professional growth and continuous education.
• Perform regular audits to ensure adherence to ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor productivity and quality metrics, implementing strategies for improvement when needed.
• Serve as the go-to resource for coding-related questions, issues, and escalations.
• Provide timely updates to the team on payer requirements, coding guidelines, and regulatory changes.
• Partner with billing, AR, and clinical teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize revenue cycle outcomes.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of medical coding experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Current certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, RHIT, or equivalent) required.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• Experience with Centricity and Go-Rev systems is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
