Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a hands-on partner to leaders and employees at our Monticello, WI facility. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR functions, with an immediate focus on recruiting and onboarding, while also providing guidance in employee relations, compliance, training, and engagement.
This position requires progressive HR experience and the ability to balance tactical HR tasks with broader partnership responsibilities. Success in this role depends on maintaining visibility on the production floor, building strong relationships with employees, and delivering HR solutions that support both business goals and employee needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles; coordinate orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive start.
- Employee Relations: Provide coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors; assist with investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation.
- Performance Management: Coordinate the goal-setting and review cycles; coach managers on feedback, documentation, and corrective action; support development plans and PIPs.
- Workers� Compensation & Leave Management: Manage work comp claims and leave administration; coordinate with third parties; ensure timely documentation, communication, and return-to-work plans.
- HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain HRIS and personnel file accuracy; support benefits/payroll processes; ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Training & Development: Partner with HR leadership to deliver training programs, support leadership cohorts, and identify development opportunities.
- Employee Engagement: Support recognition initiatives, engagement surveys, and employee communications.
- Floor Presence: Be a consistent, approachable presence on the production floor to build trust and relationships.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in projects to improve HR processes and enhance efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
- HR certification is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office suite.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presence on the production floor, engaging with employees and leaders regularly.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to have a physical presence on production floor that includes walking and standing
