Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience as a teacher, trainer, youth worker or facilitator working with young people and/or adults – Essential
- Level 3 teaching/training qualification (e.g., Award in Education and Training) – Desirable
- Formal/informal training in gender-based violence issues – Desirable
- Trauma-informed practice training – Desirable
- Sound understanding of domestic abuse and/or VAWG, including its impact on adults and children – Essential
- Awareness of trauma-informed and anti-discriminatory practice – Essential
- Understanding of safeguarding principles when working with young people – Essential
- Independently designing and delivering workshops/training to young people in schools, youth settings or community groups – Essential
- Independently delivering training to mixed audiences in at least two of the following settings: schools, workplaces, public sector, community – Essential
- Sound understanding of monitoring, evaluating and reporting on training programmes – Essential
- Partnership working with professionals and agencies – Essential
- Conducting needs or risk assessments in safeguarding contexts – Desirable
- Empathetic and engaging facilitation style - able to adapt to different audiences
- Strong classroom/group management skills when working with young people
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to set and manage own workload
- Confident IT skills, including online delivery platforms
