We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Content Editors at the Junior, Mid, and Senior levels to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and tradecraft compliance of analytic products.
As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for conducting substantive reviews of analytic content, ensuring factual accuracy, clarity of presentation, and suitability for publication. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of intelligence products by editing for adherence to ICD 200-series analytic standards while supporting U.S. military and intelligence missions.
- Provide substantive review of analytic content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and suitability for publication.
- Verify facts, data, figures, and citations against original sources to ensure correctness and consistency.
- Identify errors, factual inconsistencies, and contradictions in written products.
- Edit content for adherence to analytic tradecraft standards (ICD 200-series).
- Ensure illustrations, charts, tables, and photographs align with and support written text.
- Edit for clear and cogent presentation tailored to the intended media and audience.
- Provide editorial guidance to analysts to improve the clarity and impact of their products.
Education & Experience (must meet one of the following based on level):
- Senior Level: Master’s degree + 12 years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 17 years relevant experience.
- Mid Level: Bachelor’s degree + 8 years relevant experience.
- Junior Level: Bachelor’s degree + 3 years relevant experience OR 7 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Demonstrated experience editing analytic content for clarity, accuracy, and suitability for publication.
- Strong knowledge of IC analytic standards (ICD 200-series).
- Proven ability to identify factual errors, inconsistencies, and citation issues.
- Excellent communication and editorial skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with analysts, subject matter experts, and leadership.
- Prior experience supporting USCENTCOM or DoD operations.
- Familiarity with intelligence production processes and workflows.
- Experience editing intelligence assessments, briefings, and technical documents.
- Understanding of analytic tradecraft principles and intelligence writing styles.
